1,700 Satsuma trees have matured in the past 6 years, while the remaining 500 have matured in the last 4 years. The initial harvest of Satsuma mandarin was partly achieved in May/July 2023 with a satisfactory result. Satsuma mandarins have recently become very popular due to their flavoursome taste and ease of peeling.

The potential annual production from each Mandarin tree would be approx. 100 kg on average when 10 years grown or more. This would be worth an estimated $600,000 in gross earnings per annum based on a farm-gate price of $3 per kg. The maintenance of these trees is relatively simple, easy, and inexpensive compared to others once they are grown for more than 5 years.

The property comprises 9 ha of farmland with Satsuma mandarin orchards, additional farmland, and improvements, and 6.5 ha of conservation covenant with native bush with picturesque scenery of nature. Sufficient bore water is available for the house, building and farmland.
