Letter from the owners.. 'We've loved everything about this home since we first bought it before our children were born.

The front porch is a sun trap in winter and in the warmer months, the native birds love flitting amongst the taller trees in the back garden. Lower and upper decks have provided lots of options depending on the weather and the whole indoor-outdoor flow from the sun-filled open plan kitchen dining area and opened French doors in the day room/office annex has been perfect for large celebrations.

The original lead lights inspired us to introduce more in virtually every room when we extended our home as the children grew bigger. John Papas tiles, hand-selected from his home workshop, work brilliantly around the art deco gas fire in the living room. Our open wood fireplace with its cosy inglenook in the middle room is brilliant in the cooler months. We love colour and as the sun moves around the house the spaces come to life.

Windmill Park across the road, with its cricket pitches, native bush walk, tennis, and netball courts has been a huge playground for our children. There are also several playgrounds and other wide-open green spaces just minutes away.

Our kids grew up walking to school, which is a huge bonus: Epsom Normal Primary School, Kohia Terrace School, Auckland Normal Intermediate and of course Auckland Grammar School (AGS) and Epsom Girls Grammar School (EGGS) known as the most popular Double Grammar Zone (DGZ) all well within walking distance.

Mt Eden village, The Lido cinema, and multiple eateries are all within 15 minutes walk and we love just being 15 minutes away from the city centre.
