Pete Bossley (who was also on the design team for Te Papa Museum) describes the home as a 'long, gently curving wing, which anchors the composition to the contours, while three separate forms are spread along the north face.' The design captures the views from mostly every room.
The house is split level and features 4 double bedrooms. The master bedroom is at the eastern end and has an ensuite and walk in wardrobe and the guest accommodation at the western end (with its own entrance if required) features a lounge with kitchenette and its own bathroom. The other bedrooms are accessed via the Rumpus area.
The home lends itself to entertaining with outside areas north and south easily accessed from the designer kitchen. The lounge and library can also be opened to the north facing suspended deck by opening the bifold doors. Barbeque areas on both entertaining areas mean that the weather is not an issue. The added bonus is the fully fenced heated concrete pool (approx. 13m x 5m) blending into the landscape.
